  27. The only annoying problems I was having lately was random video 
  28. stutters and audio glitches while playing back a complete project and 
  29. recording it on tape.  My Flyer card was recalled by Newtek last friday 
  30. and should be back in the studio this week. Apparantly, a wrong 
  31. capacitor installed on the card has been responsible for playback 
  32. problems for many users but this hardware modification should definelty 
  33. fix the problem. I let you know the result.

  35. I would not really consider the Flyer software buggy (e.i. it really 
  36. never crashes) but it's definetly minimal compare to high-end NL 
  37. systems around and has a lot of room to grow.  Right now, the software 
  38. allows you to perform 90% of a production editing task very easely but 
  39. there are still some edits that are a tricky to perform like multiple 
  40. cut-aways on a talking head or cutting video clips onto a music track.

  45. Considering the Flyer plug-in architecture, I think it's very realistic 
  46. to think that somebody will write several plug-ins allowing conversion 
  47. of Flyer clips into avi., quicktime, ... formats soon. There is 
  48. actually a PD program for the Amiga called MainActor that allows 
  49. converting Amiga iff anims into avi's and quicktime movies, so...
